About the author
Gene Mittler is the author of Art in Focus, Glencoe’s senior high school art history textbook. He has taught at both the elementary and secondary levels and at Indiana University. He received an M.F.A. in sculpture from Bowling Green State University and a Ph.D. in art education from Ohio State University. Dr. Mittler has authored grants and published numerous articles in professional journals, and has lectured in the United States and abroad. He is currently Professor Emeritus at Texas Tech University.
